In the Community

The Gualala River has long been a cherished part of the Mendonoma community. In years past, the river teemed with steelhead and coho salmon, drawing anglers to its banks. Though these populations have declined, the community’s connection to this place remains as strong as ever—and so does the commitment to restoring the habitat conditions in the estuary.
In this section, we will share community stories, photos, and memories that capture the spirit of the Gualala River.
