In support of the Meadow as Muse exhibition, we’re collaborating with Gualala Arts Center for an enchanting evening exploring the moths of our coastal ecosystem — all ages and experience levels welcome!

7:30 PM • Indoor Presentation
at Gualala Arts Center

Entomologist and Sea Ranch naturalist Larry French, joined by colleagues from UC, presents striking images, specimens, and insights into the remarkable moth species of our local coastline.

9:00 – 11:00 PM • Nighttime Field Session
at Mill Bend Preserve 

Head into the meadow for a guided after-dark experience — observing and identifying live moths as they emerge. A hands-on contribution to local citizen-science efforts!

Bring a flashlight, camera or smartphone, and wear dark clothing. Free and open to all.
